I was in the Metro yesterday and while lost in thoughts about what delicious thing I felt like eating that night I saw one of my favorite models of all time walk in. She was with what I assumed was her agent; he dutifully held a Paris guide and told her they were getting off at the next station (my home station!). According to my super gracious, sweet, host Martin, she was probably on her way to the Margiela showroom, which is close to us. I wanted to say something to her, but A) I am shy. and B) I could not remember her name, which brings me to C) What could I possibly say? “Hey, you are one of my favourite models of all times but hmm, what is your name again?” Her name is Omahyra.
Anyway, I think my Metro spotting does signal the imminent commencement of Paris Fashion week.
