Two boys, one look!
Enough said.

According to the Sun UK Karl Lagerfeld has met with Lilly Allen since he is planning to make her the face of Chanel for 2007. (Please note that I do not think the Sun UK is a source of reliable fashion news.)
Remember the Lindsay Lohan scare? Though Mr. Lagerfeld might like to very publicly entertain whims like this one: “Karl Lagerfeld is convinced her signature style — chav meets couture — is going to be THE look of 2007.”, the last word is not had by him. The man responsible for translating Coco Chanel’s sentiment that “A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous.” into worldwide visual campaigns is Jacques Helleu, Chanel’s all too full of taste and class artistic director. To learn more about him look at the book “Jacques Helleu and Chanel”.

Vogue celebrates 90 years in London with a very British crowd. Meaning: if you look at the event coverage it sort of like reading an UK edition of Hello! magazine; half the people in there are only known in England. Though Kate Moss was there sipping champagne in old school champagne glasses, I bet the big party will be in 10 years in New York.

Anyway, there is a rather enjoyable cover archive of the past 90 years. Here a cover by Albert Watson from the fabulous year of 1978.

A photo compilation of the lady at fashion is a constant revolution live journal. I did not even know those existed; how very technologically not savvy of me.

Canadian photographer Jeff Wall’s cinematographic style in Paris (October 28th to December 9th) at the Marion Goodman gallery.

Also in Paris “Out of Fashion”, an exhibition of photographs by the celebrated fashion photographer Mario Testino which made its debut earlier in the year in New York.
“Out of Fashion” will be on view from October 26 through November 21, 2006 at Phillips de Pury.
If you have enough “argent” to go to Paris in a whim, you might as well buy a photograph since they are available for sale.
